To demonstrate, as Umberto Eco says, „that the student, critically surveys a large part of the exisiting literature....that one is able to clearly present the current issue and demonstrate the ability to place it in the context of various approaches and opinions so and intelligent, synthetic overview arises which may serve as a source of important information for professionals in the given branch.“

The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the theory, methods and procedures in writing a thesis. After a general introduction to issues are regular individual consultations.
Curriculum:
1) Selection of the defined topic - its explication
2) Collection of material, bibliographic research - including internet search and use of professional databases, in principle the development of a list of sources and writings used
3) Citation methods, unification of presented data
4) Significance and proposal of an outline /introduction, body, conclusion
5) Recommended extent of the thesis, Czech and English summaries
