Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Dramaturgy cooperation of the instructor and student on the literary basis of their film (particularly a portrait) in 2nd year study.

Mode of study:

Moderated and unmoderated discussion, analysis of motif, screenplay, and shooting material; screenings of finished films.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course is linked to the instructor's workshop of Martin Mareček (1st year), where the students come into contact with the fundamentals of how to write a literary basis for a documentary.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

The Winter semester content is the subject matter of the documentary film - Portrait and results of the Summer semester documentary fillm - Portrait - screenplay. The literary basis of subject matter and screenplay (more concretely and detailed) is the starting point for development in to content of more variable intention: what (film topic), how (form), why (peronal and societal motivations), with whom (participants), where (location), when (year and day periods), structure (film structure) and an example of the sequencing (how the film should appear).
