Course description:
The Summary exam is the final exam for the year in which the student presents all the work created during the given year. The main part of the Summary exam is the exhibition collection. It is defended by the student and assessed by the Summary commission made up of Photography Dept. instructors.
The Summary exercise is a collection of a minimum of 6 photos on a theme determined at the beginning of the academic year. This exercise may be consulted upon with any instructor.
The student presents at the Summary exam, as well, a written report about the course and situation of their thesis certified by its advisor.
For the Spring Summary exam date, the student presents all exercises executed in the given year according to the years study plan (RUP) and work executed in workshops registered.
If the student, for extenuating circumstances, has not completed some exercises, they present a request at the Summary exam for the setting aside of that course and exercise. These requests must be certified by the instructor of the course. A maximum of two courses or their exercises may be set aside. These set-aside exercises are to be presented to the commission at the September Summary exam.
A requirement for awarding credit is the submission of the assigned exercises in electronic form, primarily the exhibition collection. This is to be placed on the webpages of the Photography Dept.
The exhibition collection is required to be exhibited in a particular form in a defined space at an established time.
Place and time:
Spring date - regular: after 10. June - on prior posted dates.
Autumn date - for non-fulfillment of part of the Summary exam at a regular date: September - on prior posted dates.
