Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Acquisition of knowledge to intelligibly explain basic composition issues including auxilliary composition technique disciplines. Preparations for independent teaching.

Mode of study:

Classes, 2 hours per week

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Skills in communicating with pupils. Ability to sensibly and at the corresponding level interpret the covered material.

Recommended optional programme components:

Instruction activity at lower school levels - for example music instruction, instruments at Arts Elementary Schools.

Course contents:

Preparations for one's instructing activities.

Recommended or required reading:

Harmony, counterpoint and other composition instruction textbooks.

Attendance, preparation, result quality and activity in discussion are assessed.
