Course contents:

The piccolo is an instrument which exists in many music groups. This instrument is often used in orchestras, solos and other music genres today. This course gradually provides students with all skills and knowledge needed in playing the piccolo. Students are divided according to skill. They are introduced to proper playing technique. Considering that the difference in students' playing skills may be great, individual paths of instruction are taken. This individual approach and acceptance of the varying skills is the way to get the less proficient to a good playing level. The view of the student about why they wish to play the contrabassoon is definitive for the course method. The soloist track for the piccolo is fundamentally impossible. Many wish to play the instrument for practical reasons which are often advantageous in auditions for orchestra chairs. Students are introduced to the instrument and its potential. For those who are continuing in playing contrabassoon, easier etudes are used to define their playing issues and a path to the most feasible correction is found.
