This course should provide knowledge regarding the development of the fine arts and with this reinforce the mutual understanding of the relationship of fine arts and dance in the European arts tradition.

Course presentation is linked to History of the Fine Arts 1. This chronologically continues the presentation of the development of European fine art from the Baroque to the present. Artistic style is introduced into the relationship to the period of artistic thinking so that the student can have a sense of the mutual relationships of expression manners and aesthetic standpoints and evaluation criteria used. An emphasis is place particularly on the genesis of modern fine arts and an understanding of the current situation, foundations and artistic goals.
