All steps are performed individually, then in pairs, first straight, in a turn and in spinning.
Dividing dances according to history and individual type: Historical division of dances to dance with a solid connection to musical accompaniment (so-called „spinning, twirling dance), processional dances (chorovody, ceremonial dance, men's jumps). A newer layer of dance with a solid connection to musical accompaniment (so-called “figure" dances).
Dances with a solid connection to musical accompaniment are further divided into smaller groups according to their content. For example, dances with work themes (Shoemaker, Kadlec, Miller), pair dance (Šátečkový, Rejdovák a Rejdovačka, Zahradník), more and less difficult common dances, Furiant and dances with changing meters („mateniky“)
In selected dance there is a monitoring of identical indicators - song texts, dances steps, dance structures such as in the dances; Švec, Kalamajka, Dupák, Řezanka.
Instruction in the basic steps and dances takes place during the classes where an emphasis is placed on the technical mastery of individual dances and their basic steps.
