Learning outcomes of the course unit:

This course should provide students with a foundation for creating the master's writing or possibly choreographic work. The third semester is primarily work on design of the writing/work and development of acquired material in relation to further studied writings and works (critique of sources and their analysis, investigation of methodological approach, work on the choreography writing).

Mode of study:

This course takes places as a individual consultations between the student and bachelor's thesis advisor in which the topic of the work, source material, methodology concept, analytical tools and conclusions are discussed. The work will also contain a choreography section for choreography studies.

Course contents:

Topic consultations managing the topice of the master's thesis. Generally work with all types of source forms (live movement, film and photo recordings of dance, writings, iconographic and mass resources), analysis methods and presentation of facts, conceptual rules and correction of a professional writing, etc. In preparation of a choreographic work there is the selection of topic, creation of movement material and its structuring, and creation of the overall choreography concept. The second phase is primarily working on one's text/work and a review of the procedures in cooperating with the advisor.
