Learning outcomes of the course unit:

This course should provide students with a better knowledge of classical dance education principles. This is a elective course which students select with consideration of it as a supplement to their specialization.

Mode of study:

Course content is the same as in the Classical Dance Method course. Students select a secondary method along with their specilization method.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Presumed dance experience in classical dance. Students must comply with the demands of classical dance as the main specialization.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

The syllabus is the same as that of Classical Dance Methods.

Recommended or required reading:

Study material is the same as for „Method of Classical Dance.“

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

Metod practice and analysis of classical dance elements.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on: participation in lectures, ability to methodically work with the given material, presentation.

Oral exam - practical.

Overall grading: 30% participation, 30% methodical work, 30% presentation, 10% exam.
