Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course content is the same as Folkdance Training 2. It is expanded to some additional dances from other nations.

Mode of study:

Mastering the dances discussed in a dance hall.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Active participation in lessons. Creating a warm-up for folkdance technique. Knowledge of the selected dances. Completion of Folkdance Technique 1.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

This course serves primarily for expanding knowledge of Folk dance and its dance technique, acquiring flexibility and dance experience in the folk dance sphere. A broadening in the knowledge of basic dance steps and their variations: technical mastery of the dance steps of specific areas. Further potential for combinations: variations of those steps and their use in dance.

Recommended or required reading:

Study material is the same as for „Folk Dance Technique 2.“

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

Course content is the same as „Folk Dance Training 2.“ The course serves to develop dance skills in folk dance. Skills are expanded to include dances of other nations.

Credit is awarded based on: activity in exercises.
