Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Students improve their verbal and non-verbal communications focusing on the particulars of the arts environment.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Completion of Communication Skills 1 and 2 (108KOD1, 108KOD2)

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

1. verbal communications - managing voice tone, modulation, speed of delivery, intelligibility of communications

2. non-verbal communications - body language, the subconscious, objects, space, truth and lies.

3. project presentation assignments

4. self-presentation with specific goals

5. styles and genres, the lexical aspect of the verbal and the written in relation to their aims.

Classes, exercises, classes with industry experts.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on class participation and the final oral presentation.
