Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Communication techniques for performing arts aid artists in harmonize their performance art with other elements of verbal and non-verbal communication. The artist must know how to express themself on stage freely without inhibitions. They must be able to communicate with students, conductors, musician colleagues. Covered also is communication with the media (television, press, radio). Particular attention is devoted to conductors where all kinds of non-verbal communication which is independent of conducting technique.

Course contents:

Communication techniques for peformance studies helping performers to attune their performance art with other elements of verbal and non-verbal communication. The performer must know how to express themselves on stage without barriers, to communicate with the audience, the conductor and music colleagues. Communication with the media (television, press, radio) is covered. Particular attention is paid to the conductor, where all non-verbal communication not related to conducting technique is covered.
