Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Development of education thought from the Antique to the 20th century with regard to the development of music education.

Course contents:

The main educational fundamentals and styles of training in professional music training

The development of the musical ear skills in professional music training

Potential development of musical memory and imgaination in individual phases of music development

Issues in evaluating student musical development and concert performance

Organization and management of the training process in individual types and levels of music schools

Emphasis is place on the adopting of basic communication (verbal and non-verbal) and assertiveness skills of the students in relation to evaluating performance and student results

In the closing lecture students are introduced to basic education documentation with labor regulations, the main foundations of school management (advertising the work of the school, instructor career development, working with sponsors, grant policies, etc.) and education technology (particularly computer applications in education). Attention is devoted to the preparations of school education programs (SEP) at individual types of schools.
