Mastery of technology used in contemporary electro-acoustic music.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Basic knowledge of acoustics, electro-acoustics, music signal theory and music theory. Assured knowledge in working with Macintosh and PC operating systems.

Course contents:

Fundamentals of networking and programming using MIDI protocol.

Steinberg Cubase SX, Basics for MIDI sequencing and audio recording.

Emagic Logic, Basics for MIDI sequencing and audio recording.

Automating and time dynamics of parameters of sound synthesis and effects adjusments.

Mixing electronic sound (stereo, surround)

Mastering electronic sound

Issues in sound design of electronic compositions in real listening conditions.
