Syllabus:
Instruction guides one to the distinction of genres and dance styles. To varying degrees it involves mastery of skills, expanding one's dance repertoire, developing partnering, work with costumes and props (spurs, cane, tophat, fan). To some degree, work in a semester follows the topics of acting work.

Period dance, social dance of the 20th century, the dance of foreign lands.
