Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Ability to analyse one's vocal and speaking during the study process, theory explanations and awareness of the relationships of various types of texts, basic knowledge of phonetics of one's native tongue and its use in speaking.

Mode of study:

Instruction hour content is a complete introduction to issues of voice and speech not only from the professional - phoniatric perspective but in the overall theory of stage speech with procedures of various voice methodologies, the nature and form of phonetics and orthopedics, types and sound execution of dramatic verse. Preparations for preliminary testing.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

The ability to analyze one's own vocal and spoken expression during the process of study, theoretical justification, awareness of contexts with various types of texts, basic knowledge of phonetics of one's native language and its use in speech.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

Preparation for the advancement examination, reflection on one's own vocal and speaking abilities from skills already obtained on the basis of theoretical knowledge of the physiology of the voice, phonetics, orthoepy, types of verse and individual components of intonation, vocal hygiene.
