Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Communicating a selected or one's own proposal of movement with awareness, where the viewer does not know the intention but wishes to understand the message.

Movement skills using theatre tools serving to express the content-sense of the play and mutual communication.

Mode of study:

Regular meetings

Mind-body tuning to the message of writers intentions

Mutual observation - eye of the writer

The viewers eye

Camera recording

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Experience in moving in a space, with dynamic movement, with tempo-rhythm, rhythmic divisions of movement.

Movement imagination, inventiveness.

Recommended optional programme components:

Course contents:

Exercises focus on discovering muscle groups,

their conscious engagement,

elimination of automatic movements, excess tension and blockage,

exercises for perception of rhythm,

fine tuning the ideal body tension and engagement.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

Monitoring events in movement theatre, screenings of classic documentaries of movement theatre, investigating subject matter in drama literature.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Credit is awarded based on: attendance at instruction hours, interest and personal creativity, test, written review.
