Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1.Expert training of actors for theatrical ensembles.

2.Care for the culture of the voice and the word.

3.Fostering of singing skills and proper habits.

4.Cultivation of musical feeling and perception.

5.Developing of sense of melody, rhythm and harmony.

6. Sight-singing.

Mode of study:

Instruction is done by contact (individual lesson hours).

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

To register for this course the student must have credit for the previous semester (209ZPV1)

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

Curriculum:

1.Breathing exercises - gradually increasing difficulty.

2.Vocal exercises - pentatonic melodies.

3.Repertoire.

Syllabus:

Gradual increase of difficulty of breathing exercises. Exhaling on

-yo-, -mu- with the same powe, then more softly.

Pentatonic melodies of vocal exercises are replaced (major, minor).

Constant checking for relaxed lower jaw and correct tongue position.

Melodic decorations and preparatory exercises (basics).

Successfull completion of the exam: performance of 2 folk songs (differing character) with piano accompaniment.
