Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The goal of the course is a knowledge of the fundamental types and branches of drama training from the turn of the 19th to 20th century to the present and an introduction to the oldest phases children's theatre and its various forms and functions. Another goal is the development of skills and abilities in analysing various drama training types and concepts and discover their application possibilities in students' practice.

Mode of study:

Discussion, written and media recording sample analyses, screenings, student presentations based on study literature.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Instruction links into the acquired experience with various types of drama training, particularly Practical Drama Training and the framework of arranged practicals and knowledge from reviews and workshops (particularly Children's stage). The students should have a knowledge of fundamental drama training literature, education and theatre studies. A part of the work in this course is a systematic tracing the development of the field and personal procedures based on the literature and other materials.
