Learning outcomes of the course unit:

1. Introduction to the basics of sound in theatre.

2. Introduction to scene lighting basics in theatre.

3. Expansion of theatre stage equipment knowledge.

Mode of study:

Lectures, classes, demonstrations of light and sound use in theatre operation.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Students must be prepared for the established demands of equipping a theatre space with equipment according to the production stage designer requirements.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

CURRICULUM:

- Types of lighting, light sourcs, classical and intelligent lights

- Recording and reproduction of sounds

- Upper and lower parts of the stage, type of mechanisms

- Transport and storage of furnishings
