Student will be able to analyse contemporary theatre writings, is acquainted with various original approaches. Based on the method selected, the student will be able to create a short theatre writing and then edit it during the rehearsal process.

Completion of Creative Writing I - Literary-Drama talent, previous experience with literary or drama creation, stylistic dexterity, excellent knowledge of the Czech language, ability to distinguish and use various levels of language; registration must be approved by the instructor.

It is recommended that the students attend related courses in these specializations: Drama and Dramatization, Theatre on the Edge of Speech, Literary Aesthetics, Translation Course, etc.
- Course contents:

The basic axis of the two-semester course is working one one's theatre writing. In the first semester this is individual sequences which is worked on in groups based on individual preparations. In the second semester this is individual work on a single-act play. The students manage this, research a number of original approaches to contemporary dramatis (from classic drama structure through partial deconstruction of that structure to post-dramatic techniques). Students also devote themselves to a particular type of writing such as verbatim or documentary theatre. They learn to work with researchers or write based on improvisations with an acting group. Particular attention is devoted to close interweavings. The result of the classes are individual phases confirmed through stage readings with the participation of acting, directing and dramaturgy students.
Students use knowledge and skills acquired and developed in other required and elective courses (Drama and Dramatization, Theatre on the Edge of Speech, Literary Aesthetics, etc.). This course is supplemented with several-day workshops by external foreign instructors that serve as an introduction to their creative approaches and comparison of adopted skills with other method approaches.
