Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of this lecture is to touch principles of mouvement in theatre,action and expression of the body and pantomime.Students will have possibility to touch it practicaly,they can exercise how to connect and coordinate small scenes of pantomime with masks.

Seminar will take place in the winter tent of Circus Giroldon(in Mongolian Jurta)

They have to take their gym outfit!!

The next day they can visit the performance of the Circus

Exercise attire is required.

Course contents:

Actors such as Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, The Marx Brothers and later, also, Toto and Jacques Tati continued theatre variety to that which was performed in their own shows and in pantomime. Cinematography at the beginning of the 20th century, much in the way of technical effects. The scenes in which the actors jumped around and what came after depended on the acrobatic abilities of the actors themselves which were refined in the periferie of folk theatre.
