Course contents:

Instruction is a combination of lectures and classes. Students, asides from assigned topics, will write short papers (drama etudes or brief considerations), which will be assessed as a group.

Main Topics:

Film subject - selection of material in relation to the considered film form and required length. Working with literary bases and one's experience.

Figure characteristics - relation of the figure as the basis of the drama structure.

Basic genre

Environment, atmosphere, period. Motif selection and choice.

Rhythm and contrast as a basis for the future assembly and structure of the script.

Original initiatve in conflict or agreement with the imagined societal needs.

Relation of the director and script-writer during preparation and implementation of the film: the director as an author.
