Learning outcomes of the course unit:

To acquaint students with shooting in a studio and live editing. To prepare for shooting the exercise „Etude in the Studio“.

Mode of study:

1. Meeting - FAMU Classroom 217

Introduction and explanation of the basics and issues of directing in a TV studio. Advantages and potential of sequence shooting. Assignment of a common topic and sound for the exercise „TV Introductory Exercise“.

2. Meeting - Czech TV „News“

A visit to Czech TV for the preparation and shooting of the live broadcast program „Udalosti“ (Events)

3. Meeting - Studio A - Studio FAMU on Klimentska Street.

Introduction to the potential of the studio in Studio FAMU. Script preparations and actual shooting of the „TV Introductory Exercise“.

4. Meeting - FAMU Classroom 217

Assessment of the shooting material and course of the shooting of the TV Introductory Exercise. Consultations for preparing the „Etude in the Studio“ shooting.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Basics of working with a camera.

Course contents:

A course intended for the preparation and filming of the „Introductory TV Exercise“ and „Fiction Studio Exercise“ in four sessions.
