The aim of this course is to manage composition priniciples and their creative use in practice. The ability to use artistic processes is a necessary basis for further artistic work in later study years.

Analysis of exercises. Screening work, in relation to the topic. Independent artistic work.

Grading:
Graded credit: awarded based on the submitted exercise. Graded is how well the assignment was fulfilled, originality and development quality.
Attendance: a requirement for grading the student is at least 60% class attendance and participation in required group consultations established at the beginning of instruction.

- Course contents:

This course expands theory and practice knowledge in the composition of the photographic image.
Emphasis placed on the ability to work independently is to arise in this course. Individual tasks provide sufficient space for creativity and require technical quality.
Tasks: (exercise 1P6)
Completed 8 photographs of a spatial object where the following will be gradually emphasized:
1/ surface and linear composition
2/ rhythm
3/ composition balance
4/ composition dynamism
A greater measure of artistic stylization is recommended. The compositio nof each photo must be inventive. Task # 2-4 creates an united whole.
Technical requirements:
Exercise #1 must be photographed on classic B/W negative without subsequent digital manipulation, positive 30x40cm format; other exercises are created with B/W or color photography or digital printing, format according to agreement with the instructor.
