Course contents:

Course description:

Students write and explication of the considered collection, which is presented to a selected instructor. Upon instructor agreement to consult the exhibit collection the student is obliged to announce the name of the consultant and topic to the Photography Dept. office by the end of the Winter semester at the latest.

The exhibit collection is the result of systematic work on a topic selected in the Summer semester with an obligatory minimum of 2 consultations in the development phase.

Tasks:

Winter semester:

A written explication of the considered collection, presented to a selected instructor as the basis for accepting its consultation. Upon agreement by the instructor to consult the exhibit collection, the student is obliged to announce the name of the consultant and topic to the Photography Dept. office by the ent of the Winter semester at the latest.

Summer semester:

Systematic work on the exhibit colleciton, with obligatory consultations in the development stage.

The exhibit collection is understood as a collection of a minimum of 8 photos which create a compact whole or in some manner are homogenous in idea. The number of photos may be less if it is an exception projet or type of work which requires such an approach. In justified cases (ex: project difficulty or character) the student may submit another form of the exhibit collection.

Grading:

Credit is awarded at the end of the Winter semester for the explication and possible completion.

Exam: grading in the summary exam by a commission comprised of dept. instructors.

A requirement for grading is the simultaneous submission of all photographs in digital for in TIFF format in 300dpi resolution on a page 250mm. As well required is the uploading of the exhibit collection to the dept's webpage.
