This course enables students to acquire a basic overview of the characteristics of a sound signal as a bearer of music information.

Course contents:

This course presents a basic survey of the characteristics of a sound signal as a bearer of music information. The physical effect of these characteristics is presented in relation to their subjective consequences. From an analytical viewpoint of the characteristics and structure of a music signal, sound synthesis theory is dealt with.
