The aim of the module is to introduce students with an exceptional figure in world animation and his creative and working methods.

This module is comprised of two parts: a) a theory presentation of the Paeren scriptwriting method; b) practical application of this method using some subject matter.

The Estonian director and artist Priit Paern is part of a group of celebrated and respected persons in animated film. Aside from presenting his many works in his long career in the planned lectures, the course focuses on animation instruction methods:
- How to work with ideas
- How to develop creativity
- How to build a narrative
- Paths and techniques which help to avoid cliches and find surprising treatments in stories.
