This technical exercise prepares students for advanced 35mm film lighting exercise in Studio. Students can test all lighting equipment, fresnel and soft lighting, distances of lights, light perspective, exposure ratios, modulation of light on faces of actors and figures in the set. Student can test basic lighting atmospheres such as Sunny Day, Moon Light, Street Lamp, Candle Light, Flash Light, Darkness.

Technical equipment:
35mm film camera Arri III + 60m 35mm color film negative EASTMAN KODAK V3 500T 5219. Gray card 18%. Student must have their spotmeter and incident light meters. Use of students' own digital still photo camera is welcome.

Student is introduced to the complex lighting equipment in FAMU Studio and learns how to create basic and advanced light situation on the set (interior with window and door). A special focus of this exercise is on the ways how to create darkness in the interior.
