Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The Audio-visual course serves as space for learning about important Audio-visual pieces, for discussion with invited artists and group readings of theory writings. This is to broaden the range of interests of the students beyond their own sphere. Students prepare their own lecture.

Mode of study:

The class often meets outside school to attend lectures or exhibits by artists and theorists related to the class

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Active participation. Oral report.

Recommended optional programme components:

Gallery openings, talks, etc.

Course contents:

A weekly gathering of all the department's students to hear, or themselves present, lectures on an area of common interest - an artist's work, a particular exhibit, an area of artistic research, a style of music, etc. Approximately one third of lectures are given by students themselves.

This audio-visual course serves to provide space for getting to know significant AV works, for discussion with invited artists and group readings of theory texts.

Resources are recommended depending on the always changing subject material

Audio-visual course serves as a space for discussions with invited artists and other professionals from various fields, visits to exhibitions and performances, meetings of students from all study-years and fields of common interests: artistic work, particularly exhibits, art research, music styles, etc...

Assessment methods and criteria:

100% based on attendance which is mandatory
