Note:

Alberto de Campo studied classical composition, jazz guitar and electronic music in Austria and the USA. During his work at the University of California Santa Barbare he developed, with Curtis Roades, the currently used software for sound particle synthesis. His current artistic works use elements of improvisation in acoustic and electronic surroundings. He is active, among others, with the group powerbooks_unplugged and Republic111, where he uses sound sources from laptops without additional amplification. As an electro-acoustical music player he has recorded with ensembles such as Quiet Noise Quartet and Trio Brachiale. His work for galleries deals with topics of communication and media archeology. He has initiated extensive collaborative projects such as Varia Zoosystematica Profundorum devoted to deep-sea communications and The Ways Things May Go about artificial causality. Among his most frequent collaborators are Hannes Hoelzl, with whom he over a long term developed the concept of audio-visual anarchisvism. He is a professor at the Universities of Duesseldorf and Berlin where he is devoted to generative art, music and information technology.
