Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Good mastery of the main study and its techical and artistic issues.

Secure and broad bearing in the legacy of musiic and its style periods.

Mastery of basic education issues.

Study of the fundamental piano chamber music repertoire.

Study of the most challenging solo repertoire, auditions for the graduation concert (orchestra, Martinů Hall). Acquiring independence in practice, repertoire selection for the graduation concert.

No knowledge requirements necessary.

Recommended optional programme components:

Basics of chamber ensembles. Preparations for concerts in the chamber music study.

Curriculum framework.

4th year:

- full-length recital program

Recommended or required reading:

Basic piano literature of the Baroque, Pre-Classical, Vienna Classic, Romatic, Impressionistic and pivotal repertoire of the 20th century (Prokofiev, Debussy, Ravel and others). This basic literature is expanded to the required repertoire for various national and international piano competitions.

Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

In this semester students assist in leading the piano classes. They are responsible for the content.

Assessment methods and criteria:

Markings from the main study according to results in the commission exam.
