All issues regarding oboe playing - fingering technique, intonation, proper breathing and peformance are improved in more challenging etudes with an emphasis on those deficiencies not yet mastered. With a very good simple staccato, double staccat is instructed.

2. Double staccato is instructed. If the simple staccato is not in order, double staccato is taught in the following course.

3. More imaginative recital literature - students join in their own music ideas - I. Hurník, V. Williams, W.A. Mozart.

On-going participation of students in symphony and opera orchestra auditions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Instrument skills corresponding to the study year and student profile.

Chamber literature in duet, trios and other combinations of wind, string, keyboard and percussion instruments.

Course contents:

This course provides students with technique, tone quality, intonation and performance skills to be able to stand up to competition in the solo, chamber and orchestral fields. This course guides the students to independence, realizing their own ideas and defending their thought. This is the basis of instruction in this course. Development of one's perosnality is a priority. All issues regarding playing the oboe are developed in etudes - L. Bleuzet, E. Bozza with an emphasis on those deficiencies not yet mastered. If the technical level allows, double staccato instruction begins. This is the principle in which the tongue is set once for two sequential tones. The second is sounded by the air current. If the simple staccato is not in order, double staccato is taught in the subsequent course. Recital compositions are oriented towards works with greater imagination where the student must join in with their own thoughts and ideas - I. Hurnik, V. Williams, W.A. Mozart.
