Course contents:

This course is a focus on the development of tone through partial analysis of the situation. Removing excessive tension, either physical or mental which is closely related to mastering the breathing aparatus. This is developed and the practice is increased in quality through a study of theory devoted to these issues (Jacobs, Ušák, Kleinhammer, Adam). There is also a need to focus on the mastery of the so called soft attack - a very gentle beginning of a tone in very weak dynamics and a mastery of the equivalent in higher dynamics. This is an inseparable part of years of the Czech tradition in playing the trombone which needs to be continued because it is a generally appreciated by a number of celebrities. Recital literature is arranged around more technically demanding compostions in both extent and musicality (Sachse, Larsson, Domažlický, McKay).
