Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The course aim is to develop the choreographic experience of the students through various choreograph tasks. The students resolve issues in the relation of dance and everyday movement, movement styling, relationship of dance and music (sound), dance and visual arts, etc. Emphasis is on the creative activity of the students.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Knowledge of the fundamentals of composition, ability to create a movement motif for given music in real time. Experience in working with a performer and multiple performers. Regular attendance in classes.

No elective requirements for this course.

Course contents:

The topics in this choreography course in this semester cover special creative use of visual and lighting equipment in dance composition. This covers, for example, alternative light sources and their use in choreography, props and their manipulation, food in dance, dominant materials a) textiles, b) paper.
