Preparation for orchestra practice and a broad knowledge of orchestra literature. Preparedness for prominent symphony orchestra auditions.

Attendance at rehearsals and concerts, Recording listenings. Consultations before performers in school orchestra projects and extra-curricular guest performances.

Study of orchestral solos and parts including their inclusion into the score (knowledge of composing with significant percussion instrument parts). Development of aptitude, playing from the page based on the concomitant harmonic and formal analysis. Preparation for symphonic orchestra auditions.
