- Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Realizing a dramatic situation with actors in space with emphasis on leading actors.
Ability to clearly identify (for one's self and for actors) what is „before us“ - ability to identify a goal and what we have obtained on the way to it.
Developing of conscious decision making, and what is and is not important at a given phase of rehearsals.

- Course contents:

1. On the basis of a dramaturgically prepared text, realize a dramatic situation in space with emphasis on work with actors (creating characters) - finding ways to approach and motivate actors, how to offer possibilities and at the same time provoke them to do their own searching.
2. Within the framework of a larger whole, how to work with actors - developing the ability to share one's vision with actors and win them over to the chosen conception.
3. Emphasis is placed on the idea based already from the certain knowledge of acting possibilities of acting students, the ability to assess the scope of a task and completing it within a limited timeframe.

- Planned learning activities and teaching methods:

Selection and directing-dramaturgic text editing (dialogue, scenes, prose extracts), analysis of dramatic situations and text style. Investigation of it spatial treatment with actors. Creation of the overall rhythmic structure. Presentation at the Summary exam and subsequent review.

A decisive consideration for grading is the artistic result of the performance at the Summary exam. Considered also is the entire course of the production study.
