Instrumental and song - creating a motif based on an analysis of harmonic relations, jazz twelve-tone scheme (D.Ellington, Ch.Parker, etc.).

Recordings by jazz musicians.

Exercises, classes.

Credit is awarded based on: participation in exercises, course paper - creation of and work with a motif.
