Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the course is over the issues of children with learning disabilities, primarily frim the viewpoint of the education process. Particularly activation and investigating ways of meeting up with the uniqueness of a person with a handicap. Expanding the interest and professionalism in the field of rehabilitative methods and approaches.

Mode of study:

Contact instruction. Discussion. Video-sample analyses of work with children with special needs. Study and review of trade literature.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Students are required to have:

- completed the Drama Training Practical course.

- a fundamental bearing in issues in working with and approaches to children with special learning needs.

- completion of the Developmental Neuropsychology course.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

This course is focused on the issues of child with specific learning disabilities (SPU). The course introduces concepts with features of effective training and education, points out various forms of correction and proper approaches, group aims of drama training and special education in working with children with learning disabilities.
