Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim of the course is to guide the students to a greater perception of the characteristics on non-theatre space and an investigation of the parallels between theatre and non-theatre space. Another important goal is an expansion of the historical awareness of the development of architecture, fine arts and sculpture in relation to theatre.

Mode of study:

Readings, moderated discussions, discussions.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

A condition for completing the course is independent study of the subject literature as preparation for each topic.

Course contents:

Field excursions into the history, architecture and scupture of Prague as well as an investigation of the relation between theatre vision and perceiption of space.
