Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Course aim:

1. Expand student knowledge in project financing and continue with practical application of acquired knowledge in existing grant systems in Czech Republic culture.

2. The student acquires security in project financing focused on the Czech Republic grant system through independent work and managing a project selected at the beginning of the semester under the supervision of the instructor.

3. Another goal of the course is the acquisition of an objective view as an evaluator of individual grant requests submitted by students and receiving feedback.

Mode of study:

Classes are guided discussions where the instructor will function as a commentator. In Each class the students will evaluate the work of their classmates and project working procedures.

Course contents:

Classes 1-3 - selection of appropriate cultural organization, fundraising strategy analysis, comparison of the competition

Classes 4-6 - preparation of grant request for an event for the selected organization

Class 7 - group evaluation of grant requests, feedback, selection of the „best project“

Classes 8-11 - preparations of grant request for an event for a selected organization for the Small Grants Visegrad Fund.

Class 12 - group evaluation of grant request, feedback, selection of the „best project“

Class 13 - evaluation of the semester work, feedback, application of knowledge in practice.
