The 4 semestral study "Contemporary Theatre Theory I and II originate in the tradicational structural - semiotic concept of a theatre piece, which in the Czech context, has a long and deeply-rooted tradition. The lecture series is, of course, oriented, particularly, on those breaking moments in theory considerations of theatre which supersede that traditional starting point, and in a particular chonology as they gradually occured in Czech and foreign theatre - theory though in the second half of the 20th century and the first decade of the 21st.
