About the Cinergy project:

Project Cinergy is a regular series of masterclasses, classes and discussion workshops accompanied by film screenings occuring throughout the year. The aim is to communicate and exchange experience through open discussion, improve the film trade, contribute to education and the film spectrum. The program is intended for you filmmakers, film professionals, students and film enthusiasts of all age, who wish to develop their artistic vision, use the experience of established artists and overall to broaden their film literacy. The Cinergy project pilot was a masterclass by the Romanian director Cornelia Porumboiu, which took place on the 9th of April in collaboration with FAMU. Another guest is Eskil Vogt and, also planned is a visit by the French director and actor Gregoire Colina.

Lecturer CV:

Eskil Vogt (b. 1974, Oslo) studied directing at the prestigious La Fémis film school in Paris. In his early career, he made several short fiction films that earned a variety of awards. An Embrace (Une étriente, 2003) was nominated for a European Film Award and The Strangers (Les étrangers, 2004) won the Grand Prix at the Premier Plans festival in Angers. He also proved himself to be a talented screenwriter in collaboration with director Joachim Trier. Their most important collaborations have included Reprise (competition at KVIFF 2006) and Oslo, August 31st (2001). In addition to his successful directorial debut Blind, Vogt also directed one episode of the 14-part television series „Uti v'r hage? (“Out in Our Meadow?, 2003 and 2008), which was applauded for its dark humor and for Vogt's multifaceted innovative creativity.
