Course contents:

Meeting about the challenges and pitfalls of artist career development and fundraising

A module about portfolios, motivation letters, CVs, projects, grant applications, budgets, networking and resources. Joint exploration of the status quo, motivations and possibilities available for diverse fields of audiovisual production, with the emphasis on exhibiting and performing activities. A bit of self-reflection and discussion about the professional life of an audiovisual artist. Students are invited to bring in their own projects, applications and presentation materials they would like to discuss and also lists of financial and other resources to share.

To obtain 2 credits students are expected to participate actively and hand in their own up-to-date professional CV and portfolio, in Czech and English.

Besides her PhD studies, Magdalena Kobzova spends her time working for Fra publishing house and organising cultural events and workshops with Yo-yo, NGO. She translates, writes grants and final reports and plays the radio.
