Learning outcomes of the course unit:

Dramaturgy cooperation between the instructor and student on the literary basis of their film.

Mode of study:

Moderated and non-moderated discussions; subject analysis, screenplay and shooting material; screenings of completed films.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

This course is linked to the instruction workshop by Martin Marček (1st year), where the students encounter the fundamentals of how to write the literary basis for a documentary film.

Recommended optional programme components:

No elective requirements.

Course contents:

The Winter semester content is the subject matter of the documentary film - Portrait and results of the Summer semester documentary fillm - Portrait - screenplay. The literary basis of subject matter and screenplay (more concretely and detailed) is the starting point for development in to content of more variable intention: what (film topic), how (form), why (peronal and societal motivations), with whom (participants), where (location), when (year and day periods), structure (film structure) and an example of the sequencing (how the film should appear).
