Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The aim is to examine the broader knowledge of the material from both semesters.

Mode of study:

Classes, Pentium - history of film.

Prerequisites and co-requisites:

Considering the nature of the course a contextual overview the main artists, works and their dates is required.

Recommended optional programme components:

Additional literature regarding the history of film.

Course contents:

The content is determined by the syllabuses of both semester courses Pentium DAV: The History of Documentary Film, its literature and lecture material. Required is a knowledge (reviewed viewing) of the majority of basic films of documentary film history. The exam is a test and oral interview on randomly drawn questions.

A number of DO collections published for the Documentary Film Festival in Jihlava, monographs devoted to the works of a single artist (found in the library under „documentary film“ in the library subject catalog), use magazine articles also.
