To acquaint students with the particulars of shooting and direct television broadcast with multi-camera equipment.

General good bearing in music genres

Basic knowledge of significant works and composers.

Course contents:

Recording of a live concert and particulars of camera work.

1. Symphonic orchestra - instrument distribution, location of players

2. Score and screenplay

3. Issues in resolving the lighting construction in the concert hall

4. Distribution of TV cameras, optics selection

5. Collaborating with the director, editor and music prompts

Credit is awarded based on: class participation (60%), analysis of an visual recording of a symphony orchestra concert from the cameraman's perspective (assigned by the instructor)(40%).
