Learning outcomes of the course unit:

The main aim of the internship is in acquaint students with real TV program production and to personally learn top professional workers of the crew.

The work, as well. is to contribute to the student's decision about continuing to work with Czech TV.

Mode of study:

Internship at Czech Television - 14 days.

Course contents:

An obligatory intership for students in the 2nd year at the Production Dept., which is a part of the schedule and evaluated with the corresponding amount of credit.

Student have the chance to select a genre, such as drama, series, entertainment, events, journalism, documentary, music, children's programs, newscasts, sport.

After all necessary administrative tasks are completed (security access, training in labor safety and health protection, etc.) the intern upon signing approves the agreement for acceptance of the student into the internship with an emphasis on the obligation to maintain confidentiality of all data and information learned during the internship at Czech Television, if not known to the public. This allows individual production leads / trainers / to acquaint the intern with program budgets and salaries.

The executive manager is acquainted iwth the operation systems of their production center. The Czech Television sponsor with the production system and location of all important Czech Television workplaces.

Subsequently the interns are divided into individual crews in 14 days.

Upon the conclusion of the internship a report is completed about the internship and given to the student.

As well, a survey, which is to serve as information for Czech Television for future student interns is completed.
