Knowledge of the basic principles of television, television systems, recording technology and issues in electronic editing.

Knowledge of physics at the pre-college level.

Course contents:

Students learn about the development and use of individual recording formats, the properties of equipment that is still used, and the problem of editing programmes on magnetic recorders. The objective is for students to comfortably orient themselves in the television editing studio and understand the strong and weak points of individual recording formats.
