Course contents:

This course is devoted to the book as a bearer of information and artistic object.

Bringing in polygraphic minimums necessary for reproduction technology selected and communication with the printers, basics of classical and alternative bookbinding. The course is also devoted to graphics techniques which are used with photographic images.

The practical section is lead in two directions: the creation of the so-called „creator's book,“ that is and artistic artefact either in the form of a classic book or an object which crosses over the borders of that form. The basic source is one's own photography and own or borrowed text.

The alternative direction is the creation of an advertisement catalog. Here, the emphasis is place on the simultaneous effect of the photographic and typographic components. Part of the work is aso the polygraphic sketch treatment.
